location was great, right in the heart of it all. i found the staff cute and helpful, a real highlight of my stay. the hotel provided a lovely scent in the lobby, made for a good first impression. i also appreciated the green option, i thought it showed a nice commitment.
The phone in my room didn't work. I had to use my own mobile, a minor inconvenience.

the room needed more thorough cleaning. the room was very hot and i had to have the window open all night. there was no bar to sit and have a drink. at 10.30 pm i was told to go out of the hotel to a bar

the location was ideal i could easily walk to the main attractions in about ten minutes. i found the staff to be very helpful and friendly particularly during breakfast. i appreciated that they greeted me with a smile and were happy to answer my questions each morning the breakfast offered gluten-free options, a feature i found quite helpful.
my room needed cleaning more thoroughly i noticed this especially in the bathroom area. i did not like that there was no bar inside the hotel for a nightcap.

the room size was disappointing it felt cramped for the price i paid. i also found the air conditioning ineffective it struggled to cool the room adequately even on the highest setting it made for an uncomfortable night's sleep. i anticipated better climate control given the hotel's reputation and cost. a functional ac is essential for a pleasant stay especially during warmer months.

the location was superb, great to easily explore the nearby restaurants and shops. (i especially enjoyed the short walk to grand place.) the rooms were nicely decorated and clean.
i noticed a small gap underneath the door in my room. this allowed light from the corridor to filter in, a bit disruptive at night.
